“Chloe was known for her contagious joy, unending grace, and abiding faith,” the family said.
“Returning as a counselor to the place she loved so dearly, Chloe was looking forward to dedicating her summer days to loving and mentoring young girls at Camp Mystic.”
The family added,
“Our family was shocked to hear of the horrific tragic flooding in the Hill Country, and we were devastated to learn that our precious Chloe was among the victims.”
Search and recovery efforts have been ongoing in the flood-stricken areas. On Saturday, July 5, a K-9 Unit with the Texas Game Wardens was seen conducting searches in the damaged area near Camp Mystic in Kerr County, Texas.

Jonathan Eades, Head of The Kinkaid School, remembered Chloe as someone who made others feel seen and valued.
“She always made space for others to feel safe, valued, and brave,” he said. “She understood what it meant to be part of a community, and more than that, she helped build one.”
In a statement on their website, Camp Mystic confirmed the loss of 27 campers and counselors. The camp community, families, and officials have been left reeling from the tragedy.
“Our hearts are broken alongside our families that are enduring this unimaginable tragedy. We are praying for them constantly,” the camp shared.
“We have been in communication with local and state authorities who are tirelessly deploying extensive resources to search for our missing girls. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from community, first responders, and officials at every level.”
As of the latest reports, 10 campers remain unaccounted for, and search operations continue across the flood-affected region.
